Arimidex prescription: This medication is used in the treatment of post-menopausal breast cancer in women. Arimidex (Anastrozole) is used to treat breast cancer in post-menopausal women. It works by decreasing the production of natural estrogen in the body and helps to limit the growth of breast cancer tumours.
Anastrozole is used to treat certain types of breast cancer in women who are past menopause.
The recommended dose of anastrozole is 1 mg once daily, at the same time each day, taken with or without food. You can reduce your risk of nausea or vomiting by taking your daily tablet after a meal.
Store this medication at room temperature, protect it from light and moisture, and keep it out of the reach of children.
