Norvasc (Amlodipine) is used (alone or in combination with other medications) to lower blood pressure in people with high blood pressure (hypertension) and reduce the symptoms of angina (chest pain).
The recommended adult dose of amlodipine ranges from 2.5 mg to 10 mg once daily, taken with or without meals.
It is important to take this medication regularly, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible and continue with your regular schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed or skipped dose.
