Periactin prescription: This medication is an antihistamine that provides relief of seasonal and nonseasonal allergy symptoms such as watery and itchy eyes, runny nose and sneezing. It is also used to relieve itching and hives due to some skin conditions. This medication may also be used for a hormone disorder (Cushing's syndrome), sexual function problems due to certain drugs, and eating disorders (anorexia nervosa). Take this medication by mouth, usually 2 to 3 times a day; or as directed by your doctor. You may take this drug with food to minimize stomach upset. Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. Remember to use it at the same times each day.

Periactin is used to prevent and relieve allergic conditions such as hay fever and some allergic skin reactions.
